You can read all the history books but the real historian is in search of the truth.  Finding that truth more than 260 years after the event is a real-life detective story. The Scottish History Society recently released Prisoners of the '45 by Arnot and Seton (1928). The three volumes are now fully transcribed ready for adding to the database and are available in the members-only area.
